Ok, I made that up

Much like the dejected store-bought tomato, store-bought carrots don’t seem to have a great deal of flavor.  So into a container they go.  I planted two varieties of carrot this season. One is a short little stubby number (Red Cored Chantenay) and the other has a shape like a golf ball (Tonda di Parigi). Who knew?  I planted both from seed and so far so good. Well, that may not be 100% accurate.  There are some sprouts popping up from the soil but I cannot tell if they are weeds or the beginning of my carrot babies.

What say you?
