GREEN BEANS

Jack Kay and The Bean Stalk

Another first for this season are green beans. They are supposedly easy to grow and will produce in a container.  I chose a “bush” variety to avoid the need for staking.  I believe that I still may need to hold the plant up in some way but we shall see.  I planted the beans solo in one container and in another; I paired it with a cucumber.  The cucumber and the green bean are good companion plants so it you have limited space, these are two that can share a pot.

Plant Progress

Evidently, the little bean seed splits open and some leaves grow out. Pretty cool if ya ask me.
